Terms of Service

1. Who we are

SkipDealer is operated by Riold LLC, 1800 Cold Stream Ct. Apt. 205, Asheville, NC 28803, United States, company ID 2020-000944139. In these terms "we" means Riold LLC and "you" means the person buying import support. Riold LLC is the party you contract with and the party that receives payment.

2. What we sell

We sell import support: help buying a car at a Japanese auction and bringing it to Cyprus on your own plates. Copilot costs €699. Autopilot costs €2,499. Both are one-time fees.

The scope of each package is described on the Import with SkipDealer page. The description shown on the day you pay is the one that applies to your order. If we change a package afterwards, the change does not alter an order already paid.

3. What we do not sell

We do not sell cars. We do not own the cars shown on this site, we never bid without your instruction, and we never take custody of your vehicle.

Money meant for your car never passes through SkipDealer. You pay SBT Japan for the deposit and the car, the Cyprus customs broker for clearance, and the registration agent for the plates, each directly and against their own invoice. We do not add a margin to any of them and we do not collect them on their behalf.

Transport cover is optional, costs 2% of the price you paid for the car, and is not included in either package.

4. Prices on this site

Every landed price on this site is calculated, not quoted. It combines an auction result with shipping, duty, VAT, port fees and registration at the rates published on the day of the calculation. Rates move, and the figure drops if you win below your maximum bid.

That figure does not include the SkipDealer package, annual road tax or motor insurance.

Nothing on this site is an offer to sell a car, and no figure on it is a guarantee of what a car will cost you.

5. When work starts

Work starts when both sides confirm the order in writing. Until that confirmation, either side may stop and you receive the full fee back.

By asking us to start, you agree that we begin immediately, and you accept that once the service has been fully performed you no longer hold the right to withdraw from the contract that Directive 2011/83/EU otherwise gives a consumer.

6. Refunds

Before written confirmation: the fee is returned, less any charge the transfer itself carried, whichever side stopped.

After written confirmation: the fee is not returned, because the personal work it pays for has begun. Support then continues without a time limit until one car is on Cyprus plates.

Autopilot changed to Copilot before the first bid is placed: the difference of €1,800 is returned and the order continues as Copilot. Once a bid has been placed, the Autopilot fee is not returned.

Your deposit at SBT Japan is a separate matter and is theirs to return. This section covers the SkipDealer fee only.

A disputed case is settled with your manager first. None of this affects a right you hold under the consumer law of the country where you live.

7. Referrals

A friend who comes through your link pays €100 less for import support, and we pay you €100 for each order they complete. Discounts do not stack: the largest valid discount applies. Payouts are made by hand, usually once a month.

8. What we need from you

You choose the car and you approve every bid. Registering a car in your own name in Cyprus requires Cyprus residency. Give us contact details that reach you, and pay third-party invoices on time: a late payment at the port becomes storage, and storage is yours to pay.

9. What we do not promise

We do not sell you the car and we add no margin to it, so there is no dealer warranty of ours to give. Some cars still carry an international manufacturer's warranty, and whether yours does depends on the model, its age and the market it was sold in. Ask your manager to check the exact car before you bid.

An auction sheet records one inspector's view on one day. It is a description, not a mechanical guarantee. Damage in transit is covered by the optional transport cover and by nothing else.

Our liability to you is limited to the fee you paid us. Nothing here limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

10. Names that are not ours

SkipDealer is not affiliated with any Japanese auction house, exporter, shipping line or car manufacturer. Every name and mark shown on this site belongs to its owner and is used to describe a car, never to claim a connection.

11. Changes

We may change these terms. A change applies from the day it is published and does not alter an order already paid. The date at the top of this page tells you when it last changed.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live. If you live in the European Union, those protections apply to you in full.
